Seal Beach, CA - January 4, 2022 - TYR Sport resigns Triathlete James "Iron Cowboy" Lawrence.
Already having made history with multiple Guinness Records to his name, James Lawrence set out to push his limits once more in 2015 with the 50/50/50 -- 50 full-distance triathlons in 50 States for 50 consecutive days. Over the next five years, Lawrence began training and racing around the world to prepare him for his toughest feat yet, the Conquer 100. Consisting of 100 full-distance triathlons in 100 consecutive days, the Iron Cowboy bulldozed his way to the finish line, totaling over 14,060 miles in just 14 weeks. As a bonus, he got up the next day and powered through one final triathlon, pushing his total to 101 in 101 days. Outfitted head to toe in TYR gear, Lawrence is equipped for future competitions and is involved heavily with the research and development of TYR's new running shoe.
"I am super excited to be continuing my relationship with TYR Sport,” James Lawrence said. “I was so impressed with the products and company as I prepped and executed the Conquer 100 project. I have big goals in 2022 and TYR is going to be a huge part of that success!"
As a member of Team TYR, Lawrence will join sponsored athletes including Olympic Medalists Katie Ledecky, Ryan Lochte, Lilly King, and Michael Andrew, as well as CrossFit Games athletes Noah Ohlsen, Travis Mayer, and Emma Cary.
“We are thrilled to keep James Lawrence as a member of Team TYR,” said Matt Dilorenzo, CEO of TYR Sport. “James’ work ethic and determination to accomplish all he has so far is an inspiration to us all. We’re honored to have his input and expertise as we launch our new line of running shoes."
